Tintin was intrigued by the advertisement of a new production of a 40 year old drag, camp, psychedelic musical that was being performed at a theatre devoted to Grand Guignol-type productions. Something convinced him that it would not be a standard drawing room comedy but he wished to check for himself. And so he did. And here is what he found. The theatre's logo seemed to indicate something And their policy of no refunds to dissatisfied customers seemed a trifle harsh Yet the accomodations for the audience appeared to be comfortable - - even decadent The guy selling the tickets was friendly... ...as were the usherettes The stage was commodious and well designed And, during breaks in the performance, cast members were only too happy to POSE for the camera So what was the play about? Well, apart from white slavery, exotic locations and opium dreams, the production featured singing and dancing, some comedy, the occasional bared female breast and the equally occasional full frontal male nudity, lots of songs and production numbers - oh, and a happy ending.
