Moi was sitting at Carla's borthday party, minding moi's own business and reflecting on how nice and peaceful the event was.  Moi's inner serenity was about to be shattered, however.

THIS should have given moi a clue that one goal of the evening was to entice people who should know better to attempt to give their covers of the standards, but Nooooooo!

Karice picked up the karaoke mike first and, of course, Karice is pretty good, so moi was lulled into a false sense of security

And Kimberly seemed to enjoy Karice's performance

Tatiana and Lynn even found it suitable for dancing

Even when a second mike was pressed into service, moi was still lulled

And birthday girl Carla has a fair set of pipes for a 28  (wink, wink) year old

But, moi regrets to say, that was the GOOD part of the evening's entertainment.  Moi will draw a veil over the amateur takes on current hits, with the hesitations, the missing phrases, the over amplification of voices that weren't much good to begin with
