Well, All Hallow's Eve is once again upon us and moi is ready to brave the mob scene that is the West Hollywood Hallwe'en street festival. Moi wonders if you are aware that over 400,000 peops show up, which makes for interesting parking problems. Experience has informed moi's actions though and moi would like to lead you through the steps that lead moi and moi's freinds to Santa Monica Boulevard, between La Cienega and Doheny. Step 1: Park. Moi and moi's freinds favor the Beverly Center over the Pacific Design Center. The latter is much closer, but leaving it can be a real pain (one year, moi took an hour just to get out of the parking structure). The BC is further away, but has ample parking and easy egress after the festivities, when moi's tootsies do not respond well to sitting in line with moi's feet on the clutch and brake for prolonged periods. Moi is pictured above in the BC parking structure, looking like a million bucks, in moi's opinion.
Step 2: Get ready. Moi prepares ahead of time but some of moi's friends prefer the changeover at the site. Hence the following pictures, chronicling their transformation. A time lapse review of Tuesday getting ready Katrina was better prepared, requiring only to put on her shoes Step 3: Ensure that one will not need to use the facilities on Santa Monica Boulevard, of which there are few, combined with some last minute touch up. Bloomingdales offers restrooms for such as us. NOTE: If you think moi is going to show you us using the facilities, you are much mistaken Step 4: Always time for some POSING. When in Bloomies, avail yourself of the displays to add interest in the POSING shots Moi alone, then Tuesday, Katrina and moi and Katrina and moi in Bloomies Step 5: Prepare for the evening by accepting requests to POSE with strolling shoppers. It is better to find the right POSE now, than try to figure it out on the Boulevard. Step 6: Head for the escalators and elevators to reach street level. This way, girls! Going down! Step 7: Start immediately with the pictures - you cannot take pictures of cupcakes soon enough Moi and Dior Cupcakes (left) and cupcakes with nice toppings (right) |
