It was a quiet week in Club Shinegon.  The summer heat had eased, saving makeup and making wearing pantyhose comfortable again.  Up here in the San Fernando Valley, the Tgirls were out for the evening, and the place to go was the California equivalent of The Sidetrack Tap,  "The dim little place in the dark where the pinball machine never tilts, the clock is a half-hour slow, and where love never dies".  Moi calls it The Oxwood Inn.

Just a hop, skip and jump from Van Nuys, the Gateway to Central San Fernando

Let's see what the locals are up to on this fine September evening

Kimberly was there.  Kimberly, who works at LuAnn Magadance's Bon Marche Beauty Parlor and Salon, POSED  along with her roommate Nina.

Jen and Jerri, studies in contrasts since Jerri beat Jen out for Best Apple Pie at the Our Lady of Perpetual Responsibility Catholic Church Bake Sale and Bingo Evening.  And a fine pie it was too, flaky and moist, just like the girls

Of course, the town glamor pusses were there - Trish and Joy.  Trish had just led the NORWEGIAN BACHELOR DUDE in the background to understand that she would not be walking out with HIM that evening.

Meanwhile down at our local department store, Clifford's or, as moi likes to call it, The Mercantile, there was the usual trying on and taking off of new outfits....

And after that, it was off to the Chatterbox Cafe; "The place to go that's just like home", where you can relax with a cigarette and everyone is too shy to mention that you left your blouse back at the Mercantile

Speaking of The Chatterbox Cafe, everyone was all abuzz with the news of the day......

...about how a bunch of Lutheran girls had come up from Long Beach for the evening, planning to have some fun

...only to discover that The Chatterbox Cafe is about as much fun as you can have in Club Shinegon when you forget your driver's licenses and they consequently won't serve you at The Sidetrack Tap

As moi strolled down the street past Jack's Auto Repair, (including Jack's School of Thought (correspondence), Warm Car Service, Dry Goods Emporium, Jack's Fountain Lounge and Jack's Home, "a rest spa for people of all ages"), moi encountered Moi's friend Mistee and her friend, umm.  Mistee works at the other hair salon in town, The Curl Up and Dye..

Now Mistee is a shy Norwegian girl (from South East Norway, moi believes) so she doesn't like to thrust herself into the limelight, but moi managed to persuade her to POSE with moi
