In the middle of Little Tokyo, in downtown Los Angeles is a venerable CHINESE (!?) establishment, called the Far East Cafe

How venerable?  let the sidewalk tell you (left).  And this was where the Asian Pacific Islander AIDS Intervention Team was having a function to which moi sent moi's trusty sidekick Tintin.  Why did moi not go moi's self?  Pressing business at the national level - do the words "health care reform" strike a bell?  Hmmm.  Moi's just sayin'

A familiar banner announced the function.

Since this was an Asian "do", there was a lot of food

And plenty of Asians (in this case of all people, Asia, out of face) to consume it.

And a familiar face (Frandi's) greeted Tintin as he crossed the threshhold

After the formalities were taken care of,  a dispute arose as to credentialling Tintin.  Apparently, there was some sort of award being given to the Imperial Court of Los Angeles and no one from the Court was present (save Frandi, who was also associated with the APAIT, which was giving the award, therefore placing her in a conflict of interest situation).  Crazy, huh?

Tintin meanwhile kept himself above the fray and scoped out the awards - framed certificates for organizations and goody bags for the volunteers

At last the moment arrived when Tintin accepted a Certificate of Appreciation from the head of APAIT on behalf of the Imperial Court.  If Tintin had known, he would have worn his tux

As Tintin later remarked to moi "It was an honor just to be nominated."  He also wishes to thank the Academy and notes that he is open to multipicture deals, with profit participation

Well, it all finally got sorted out
