The temptation is sometimes too much.  Having appropriated the term "drag" to describe what we T-girls do, only exaggerated and dramatized, the gay community was undoubtedly upset when another group - the hot rod enthusiasts - appropriated the same name to describe their extreme form of motor racing.  Ah well, if God gives you broken eggs, you just make an omelette, or something to that effect.  And so the concept of "Drag Races" was born.
