Moi now, having fended off your curiosity for two pages, turns to the pageant contestants and their titanic struggle for the titles. As is oftimes the case, this involved cocktail wear, evening gowns and Q&A. Moi requests that the term "evening attire" be substituted when the gents are being considered, since a guy wearing an evening gown would be just too ridiculous. What? Oh really? You don't say? Some of the guys ARE wearing evening gowns? Oh well, sure, SOME of them, maybe. What? Oh really? OK - Most of the evening gowns are being worn by guys, but moi asks that you calibrate your preconceptions as the show progresses. Moi will show the contestants in both cocktail/casual wear AND evening wear at the same time, for reasons of economy, and just as something new to do First up, the contestant (yes, moi spelled that correctly) for Ms Gay Pride The event was MC'd by Empress Coco, and graced by the presence of the Emperor and Empress, and last year's winners Cocktail and evening wear Then the contestants for Mr Gay Pride Stretching the definition of casual wear to the limit OR putting new meaning in cock-tail attire The evening attire sometimes appeared to be lacking a certain je ne sais quoi (oh wait! - chemises is quoi which je ne sais'd) And finally the Main Event - Miss Gay Pride Casual/cocktail Evening Wear Casual/cocktail And Evening Wear After the usual (but mercifully truncated) Q&A session, the judges announced their verdicts Tension mounts! Ms Gay Pride (no surprise there), Mr Gay Pride and Kimmy - the new Miss Gay Pride - take a bow! Then everybody POSE with Empress Jennifer |
