As will no doubt be apparent to you now, from moi's reports of previous pageants (for such is what this was, even though it did not perhaps conform to the standard pageant template), there are longeurs between acts, caused principally by the need for the contestants to change between costumes.   So, the prudent pageanteer will lay in a stock of reliable performers to keep the punters in the cheap seats happy while awaiting the next segment of the pageant.  Karina, being no slouch when it comes to organizing such events, was canny enough to line up her line up and make sure to keep things lively while awaiting the costume changes and the final tallying of scores.  Herewith a brief catalogue of the event.

We started off with some same sex ballroom dancing.  If anyone can explain the anatomy of the picture immediately below, moi might consider a small prize.

Then came Vi, reprising her performance at Asia's benefit, but with a punk hairstyle

We shall pause briefly at the curent Empress of the Court of Long Beach, mainly to mention that she was the evening's TWP (Token White Performer)

Our THP for the evening was the comely Melissa Raven, who claims to go by another moniker now, but moi forgets it

Carmen proved that she can belt out a standard like the best of them...

...the best of them being, of course, Empress Jennifer
