Moi was intrigued by a description of a new art exhibit at a local gallery (see left) so moi sent Tintin down there to check it out.  The space itself was small but choc a bloc with the artist's renderings of representations of Thai ladyboys created by stripping off their makeup using sticky cellophane (what those of us of a less artistic bent might call Scotch tape)

Here is how he did it

Tintin arrived at the venue, prepared for action, but found his inetentions temporarily thwarted (see below).  He hates when that happens

Tintin having retreated to the nearby coffee house for a refreshing caffeinated beverage, he then returned to find either the gallery owner or a Robert Downey, Jr. look-alike (or perhaps both) who looked no worse the wear for his slight emergency

Tintin then turned his attention to the process used by the artist

Tape is applied in strips across the face of the ladyboy

And then the strips are removed, taking makeup, skin (ouchie), hair (ouchie, ouchie) and all

And once more - apply, strip, repeat

The end result when assembled on a sheet of charcoal paper?

Interesting, no?

Of course, the images were interspersed with photographs of the ladyboys

The exhibit is clearly signposted

This is the place in Long Beach where the exhibit is displayed
