About the title - these are not
fanatics who show up at events,
dressed strangely and worship
the people on the stage, who
answer banal questions and
parade around - no, those are
Trekkies. Wait a moment
though - NAH - totally different.
ANYway, here is moi's record of
those who also serve who only sit
and applaud at the Quest 2006
pageant. Of course, they also
buy their tickets so they deserve
that they be immortalized too.
Well, here is Angela,
who moi hadn't seen
in AGES, complete
with niece. Moi and
Angela have known
each other since she
was still wearing
Tgirl training wheels
and now look at her -
all growed up and all
Also at the break, moi met Missy (left), alone and with Charlene, and ummm
In the lobby at the interval, moi chanced upon Elizabeth (with umm, who shall NOT be tonight's
TWG, for reasons to be explained shortly) and Kosal, seen quoffing a delightful beverage
For HERE is tonight's TWG - Shirley Bushnell, APAIT staff member (how the heck
did THAT happen?) and co-organizer of the night's frolics. Shirley is seen left in
unaccustomed evening gown and right, later, in more characteristic sweats
Meanwhile, just
before the second half
of the evening
commenced, moi was
able to persuade
Karina to POSE at
the front of the stage
Moi was supposed to meet up with Tuesday to watch the pageant, but she got terribly,
hopelessly lost and arrived finally just as the winners were being announced. Note,
however, that she was photographed (right) not only with tonight's SOME DUDES, but
also, in a new departure , with tonight's SOME DOG (!)
She wasted no time, however , in getting POSES with (left to right) Empress Vi, Queen of the
Universe 2005 Yuni and tonight's second runner up Jennifer
Not to be outdone, moi POSED with
tonight's Miss Quest 2006, Maria
Then there was just enough time to snap some of the runners up backstage before it was time for
moi to crash the VIP party
Yes, there was a VIP party and no, moi didn't have
a ticket, but yes moi got in anyway (evil grin) and
found that the big fuss was fruit salad and rollups.
<SIGH> and for this, moi sold moi's soul?
At least the paparazzi
were pleasant to
watch
Well, let's cut moi's losses and do a couple of POSES
