Erika's Annex Page 431 - Fun with Found Objects
You night well inquire as to why moi has a
conspiratorial look on moi's face, coupled
with the above enigmatic title. You might,
but you will still have to wait to find out
below. A minor trend in the art world is to
create art from items that have been
discarded, thrown away or just left lying
about for starving artists to pick up on
their meanderings in search of
inspiriation. So was tonight's page
constructed, using a mixture of found
objects and found people.

So first the people
Opening the evening were a familiar trio (quartet if you count
Naomi in the background) of Stephanie, Kimeberly and Sabrina
Soon, however, moi's first found person arrived, in the shape (and a very nice shape it
was ) of Rachel, accompanied by Angelina
More found people were Roy, making a guest apppearance from Tampa as celebrity
SOME DUDE, and Shawna, serving as tonight's TWG and wearing a dress that may
someday be reworked into drapes
The usually inseparable Jen and Jerry chose this evening to be photographed
separately, a choice now thwarted by moi's artful juxtaposition of their individual
shots. These pictures are also examples of subliminal foreshadowing of what may
lie in store (moi will say no more)
It would NOT be a proper Saturday
night, without the obligatory
pictures of Moni and moi
and it's always nice to see Ginah (tonight with
SOME OTHER DUDE), and Asia
So what about "Found" objects?
Moni and moi found this object leaning against a tree outside The
Lodge, and previewing the next LA home for desperate trannies
and it drew
considerable attention
(OK moi is guilty of
hyperbole - it drew
attention)
But moi now wishes to draw your attention to the utilitarian device in the background of
Jen and Jerry's pictures - the humble shopping cart. Can it be put to any use as a prop for
interesting compositional purposes? Moi suspects so.
Well, here it is. Let's
play with it a little
Various increasingly acrobatic encounters with a shopping cart. Moi
considered climbing in but assessed moi's chances of subsequent easy
egress as being less than optimal
Well, Moni seemed to
find the whole
interlude tres
amusant, and she was
not above using the
cart as a tool herself
It remains now to gracefully sign off on the
page with moi's characteristic flourish, offering
a menu of shots
