"My character is on an ongoing search for identity. So the director didn't want me to
stop during intermission. He thought it would be a good opportunity to have another
identity, completely different than the others. And I came up with a geisha. All my
identities are symbolic of something else. The krishna, is me trying to find peace in
my world. When I dress up as a poster child for the 50's, it represents trying to be
what I think the ideal girl should look like to befriend Linda K. The geisha is in
direct contrast to the 50's chickee, and it shows my transition to finding who I am.
Then the sailor, symbolizes sailing away or escaping -- but by the end of the scene, I
reveal my true self -- a sassy queen, and with Linda as described by the Jazzman in
the Tiki Lounge scene, we stop running."
