Erika's Annex Page 264 - Queen of the Universe National Costumes
						One of the high points of the Queen of the Universe Pageant is the parading of girls in the natioanl costume of their country of origin. Since, however, a majority of the girls are Filipina, a certain latitude is allowed in determining the country. Hence, representatives from Zimbabwe, Wallis and Fortuna Islands, Cook Islands, Wales, Iceland, etc etc, all looked suspiciously Flip to moi. Similarly, the interpretation of what constitutes a "national costume" seemed to moi to be a little elastic, not unlike the material the costumes were made from. Who am moi to quibble though? After all there might be fake national origins and fake national costumes, but moi knows that the girls, at least, were genuine, doesn't moi?
								First, moi would like to single out what moi beleived were fashion mistakes. Choices made, no doubt , with te best of intentions, but misguided nevertheless. Moi does this in the spirit of constructive criticism, not malice.
